RUMFORD — Selectmen will dig into tax increment financing at Thursday night’s board meeting in Rumford Falls Auditorium.
The two agenda items are toward the end of the meeting, which begins at 7 p.m.
Selectmen will be asked to approve designating TIF areas in town and to place TIF work out to bid.
In other business, the board is asked to approve holding a:
* Charter revision hearing.
* Budget hearing to amend the Economic Development, Park and Recreation Department and Assessor budgets.
* Special selectmen’s meeting to continue work on their proposed wind power ordinance.
Other agenda items include approval to discontinue using the Maine State Planning Office wind ordinance model template, and approvals of a police patrol vehicle bid, 2011-12 traffic line painting bid, and a liquor license application and special amusement permit for the Barnboard Tavern.
In the past two wind ordinance workshops, selectmen have been working with Selectman Jeff Sterling’s proposed revision of the first proposed ordinance, which was defeated by a majority in November.
Since then, selectmen voted to create an ordinance using the state template as a base until Sterling’s proposal.
