Joyce E. St. Pierre
AUBURN – Joyce E. St. Pierre, 82, a resident of Auburn, passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 20, 1939, in Danville, Maine, the daughter of Leopold Fournier and Lillian (Michaud) Fournier. She was a graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn. On October 31, 1964, in Lewiston, Maine, she married the love of her life, her husband of 57 years, Roger L. St. Pierre of Auburn, Maine. Through the years she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In 1971, with six small children in tow she supervised the building of their family camp on Tacoma Lake in Litchfield, Maine. She enjoyed spending time on the lake and continued loving her time at camp until this past summer. In addition to being a homemaker, she also worked for a time at Ste. Croix Credit Union and retired from Kmart. She loved staying busy and would have taken a “little job” up until a few months ago. Joyce loved and took great pride in her family. She enjoyed family events, rarely, if ever, missing a game, show, or concert. She loved being close to home, but also travelled far to visit and explore new sights with family members. She was a devoted member of St. Philip Catholic Church since its inception. Joyce served as a Eucharistic Minister, was very involved with the annual Christmas Fair, and as a CCD teacher. Joyce had a great love for all her family. She is survived by her husband, Roger L. St. Pierre of Auburn; her children, Raymond St. Pierre and wife Irene of Poland; Sherrie (St.Pierre) Arsenault and husband Michael of Sabattus; Steven St. Pierre and wife Leigh of Auburn; Scott St. Pierre and wife Elaine of Lewiston; Cynthia (St. Pierre) Gagne and husband Scott of Lewiston; and Tina St. Pierre of Auburn; her grandchildren, Kevin St. Pierre, Justin St. Pierre, Jessica Yap, Michaella Gillespie, Jeffrey St. Pierre, Amanda Pelletier, Marc St. Pierre, Devin St. Pierre, Drew St. Pierre, Katie Hummes, Dillon Hummes, and Sarah Joyce St. Pierre; 15 great-grandchildren, as well as siblings, George Fournier and wife Joyce of Brentwood, TN; Lillian Wright and husband Sumner “Dutch” of Naples, FL; Leroy Fournier and wife Elaine of Leland, NC; and Pauline Paradis of Auburn, and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, two grandchildren, John David Paradis and Paul St. Pierre, siblings, Paul Fournier, Claire St. Laurent, Victor Fournier, and Don Fournier. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to both Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and Elite Home Care for their outstanding care and compassion. Because of their daily services, Joyce spent her final months surrounded by family in the home she shared with Roger for 54 years.
