TURNER – Italian Night is coming to the list of church suppers sponsored by the North Turner Presbyterian Church. This will be a new adventure for both the cooks and community members who attend and, according to Deacon Marie Duncan, “we are excited about all the new things we will be able to add to the menu.”
Italian Night is planned from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29, at the GAR Hall. First additions to the menu include chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, stuffed shells, lasagna and garlic bread. Although a few Italian desserts may be thrown in for fun, the usual assortment of pies, cakes, bars and cookies will be available.
In addition to dinner, the silent auction for a handmade quilt will continue and bids will be accepted through the Harvest Supper in October, at which time the winner will be declared.
The GAR Hall is located on Route 219 in North Turner about 1/2 mile east of the Route 4 intersection. Donations are welcome at the door. FMI: call 224-7913 or 225-3370.
Church services are held each Sunday at 9 a.m. and Sunday School is held during worship. Fellowship follows the service and everyone is welcome.
