Lewiston, the second largest city in Maine, will be voting for a new mayor on Nov. 2. We need a mayor who has vision to improve Lewiston’s image.
As a senior, I will be supporting Carl Sheline for mayor for his work in the community, and his statement of inclusion of the large senior community in his plans for a better Lewiston.
His acknowledgement of seniors said a lot about him.
We usually only hear about seniors when there is a proposal for senior housing. Clearly there is a large portion of seniors who still own their own homes, and pay property taxes, water, sewerage, etc. Many are willing to volunteer, with lifetime experiences and great work ethics.
I ask residents to join me in voting for Carl Sheline for mayor.
