AFCI Sservice

The Age-Friendly Community Initiative is very proud of its N2N (Neighbor to Neighbor) Rides Program, which was our first service to the public and has been going strong for five years. We are watching the COVID science carefully, but are currently still offering rides to vaccinated, masked adults over 65. This service is valuable not only to those who are either permanently or just temporarily unable to drive themselves, but also to their family and loved ones who do not need to sacrifice their jobs or other commitments to help out.  The service extends to medical appointments, shopping, classes, or other commitments – or just for a social event.  A three-day alert is helpful so our coordinators can find an available driver – 824-4444.  Rides are free, but you are welcome to make a donation to AFCI if you wish. Our drivers are fully vetted and trained, they love to drive, they enjoy the interaction with their riders, and they appreciate this opportunity to serve the community.  Would you like to join them? Let us know if you’d like to be part of our amazing crew of drivers; call or email (information below).
