Halley Posner, a junior at Bates College in Lewiston who interned in the Senate Democratic Office for her winter semester, stands with Maine Sen. Nate Libby, D-Lewiston, in the State House in Augusta. The internship gives students an opportunity to work in the Senate and interact with legislators. they perform such duties as working on pertinent research, collecting data and attending legislative sessions.
