GORHAM, Maine (AP) — A 51-year-old man has been arrested in Maine after 10 years on the lam that began when he failed to show up to serve a prison sentence.
Steven W. Johnson was arrested without incident Monday after agents with the U.S. Marshals Service saw him driving in Gorham.
Noel March, the U.S. marshal for Maine, said Johnson has been at large since failing to report to serve a 10-year sentence for aggravated drug trafficking in Knox County.
Johnson was highlighted on March’s website as Maine’s “Fugitive of the Month” for this month.
