In rebuttal to recent letters critical of the president, to date Biden has:
Disengaged, as initiated by former President Trump, our military from the longest, and probably most costly war in U.S. history. And yes, I think the withdrawal could have been done a lot better;
Continued Trump-era efforts to level the playing field with China on trade;
Re-established favorable relations with our traditional allies from Canada to Europe and beyond;
Successfully promoted a bipartisan deal to repair and replace nationwide infrastructure;
Released new rules to protect patients from unexpected medical bills;
Directed $2.5 billion in funding specifically directed to treat America’s mental health and addiction crisis;
Through the American Rescue Act, quickly provided $1.9 trillion in relief to American businesses and citizens;
Restored funding to certain veteran programs, including mental health programs;
Issued orders making American supply chains less reliant on foreign companies;
Ordered political appointees to take an ethics pledge;
Released his 2021 tax returns for public review;
Ordered the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to improve fuel emission standards with the goal of rapidly increasing the percentage of electric vehicles on our roads to 50%;
Blocked drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge;
Accelerated the vaccine production program originated by Trump; and
Donated $4 billion for international vaccine distribution.
