The Lewiston Public Library is set to host a community recipe and cookbook swap between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18.

This free, public program will take place in the Jeanne Couture Room on the first floor of the 200 Lisbon St. library.

People can join staff members for their drop-in community recipe swap to exchange at the library, where they have a small collection of cookbooks to trade out for some that community members have at home, according to a news release from the library.

People can bring up to three good-condition cookbooks to swap, or they can just take one from the library.

No registration is required. Participants can also bring individual recipes from home, and the staff will make free copies for others to take. The limit is five.

For more information, contact the library at 207-513-3135 or lplreference@lewistonmaine.gov.
