Karen S. Robbins-Hood

LEWISTON – It is with heavy hearts we announce Karen S. Robbins-Hood of Lewiston, passed Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at the age of 61.

Born Nov. 13, 1961, in Escondido, California, Karen was the eldest daughter of Howell and Doris Robbins. Her time brought her to live in many states, with Maine being her home. She was a proud mom to five children and “Granma” to seven grandchildren.

Karen enjoyed creating art, writing, and visiting the beach. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren who she loved deeply. Karen touched so many lives with her open heart and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her father Howell W. Robbins, sister Cheryl Gates; children: Lauren (Tim) Desmarais, Jaclyn (Mike) Larrabee, Jillian (Derek) Lachance, Gretchen Hood, and Matthew Hood; and grandchildren: Preston, Oliver, Corbin, Milo, Talon, Avery, and Mila; as well as nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother Doris Robbins and sister Donna Henneberger.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated graveside at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lewiston on Monday Aug. 28, at 1 p.m.
