STATE — Nonprofit leaders of color may be eligible for grants from the Maine Community Foundation (MaineCF).

MaineCF’s Investing in Leaders of Color (ILOC) grant program supports nonprofit leaders of color and their organizations. The program provides one-on-one coaching, a stipend for professional development and operating costs, and networking opportunities.

The applicant must be a person of color in a leadership role at an organization that primarily serves communities of color and promotes racial equity.

In 2022, ILOC awarded 13 grants totaling $90,350. An additional $6,950 grant was awarded by a donor with an advised fund at MaineCF.

The application deadline is Sept. 15. For more information about the program and a list of all recent ILOC grant recipients, visit www.mainecf.org/iloc.
