To the Editor:
I am so saddened to learn of the resignation of our town manager, Natalie Andrews. I was in hopes a resolution could be reached but as it stands her last day is 9/22/2023.
Natalie is a natural leader, well evidenced by her staff’s tearful reaction to the news of her resignation. Her commitment level and dedication are unmatched and her door is always open, evidenced by her many late nights in the office to make up the time. She has worked tirelessly to resolve “hot-button issues” that have plagued the Selectboard for years, and I fear that they will be on the back burner once again.
I have been on the Planning Board for 12 years, and Natalie is the first town manager to acknowledge our hard work and express gratitude, I was somewhat stunned at how much it meant to me.
It is not in Bethel’s best interest to continue this revolving door of town managers. I hope you can find a path forward with Natalie, she will be very difficult to replace.
