DEAR SUN SPOTS: Hello to the classmates of Edward Little High School, Class of 1953. Our 70-year reunion is approaching so mark your calendars for Sept. 20.

We will celebrate with a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at The Village Inn in Auburn. The price for the meal is $20 and choices are sirloin, chicken, shrimp or haddock.

We ask that you notify classmates who don’t live nearby as we’re not sending out a mailing but trying to reach as many as possible via email. Call Bob Swift at 966-1076 to let him know you’ll be there. See you all on Sept. 20. Go Eddies! — Dot, no town

ANSWER: This is a reminder for those of you who are class members and still haven’t sent in your RSVP. The days are going by quickly and we don’t want you to miss out!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: We are spreading the word on all the activities, programs and trips Lewiston Senior Citizens provides for seniors 50 years and older.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Regarding the Aug. 22 Sun Spots, I, too, had a moldy dresser. It was unacceptable to have mold in my home so I bit the bullet. I had help moving the dresser into the sunshine in the backyard. l took out all the drawers, carefully dipped an old towel into a weak Clorox and water solution and wiped the inside and the outside of the drawers and the cabinet body.

I left the dresser in the sun for several hours. Luckily, it did not damage the finish, but did kill most of the mold. Since mold can cause asthma, it was worth the risk of ruining the dresser. — No name, no town

ANSWER: I remember my parents doing this with some of the antique furniture pieces they hauled home. You’ll want to first test the Clorox solution on a spot that wouldn’t be too noticeable in case it damages the finish.

Fresh air and sunshine are remedies for so many ailments!
