Richard Laplante

OCALA, Fla. – Richard E. Laplante, age 79, Inverness, Fla., passed away July 19, 2023, at Cates House Hospice in Ocala. He was born in Lewiston, Maine, on Oct. 26, 1943, to the late Emile and Rose Laplante, and came to Citrus County from Lisbon, Maine.

Richard has been a resident of Citrus County, Fla., for the past 45 years and has been married to Annette for the same number of years. They dated for two years before they married. Richard cared very much for people and would do whatever he could to help them. He worked for County Disposal, Waste Management and Goodfellas Rolloff, as a salesman. He also worked with antiques and collectibles for many years. Richard was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness. He will truly be missed by his wife, family and friends. He blessed everyone he knew with his wonderful sense of humor.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at 5:30 p.m., at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Inverness, Fla. There will be a small private reception following for the family. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
