LEWISTON – Roger Castonguay, 73, of Lewiston died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023, after a courageous battle with mesothelioma.
He was born in Lewiston on March 4, 1950, the son of Joseph and Rolande (Morin) Castonguay.
He was a 1968 graduate of Lewiston High School and graduated from CMVTI two years later. He worked at Bergeron’s Machine Shop, Diamond Machine and Met Craft before starting his own business, Roger’s Precision Machine.
He married Kathleen Hutchinson at St. Mary’s Church in Lewiston 52 years ago. Besides his widow he is survived by one brother, Richard Castonguay and wife Carmen of Durham; two sisters, Rejeanne Lamore of Skokie, Ill., and Pauline Suszczynski and her husband Richard of Bristol, Conn. He leaves a large family of nieces, nephews and greats. He was predeceased by his parents, nephews Kirk Castonguay and Michael Theriault.
His viewing is Monday August 14, from 9-10:30 a.m., at Pinette Dillingham Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston. followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Church in Lewiston concluding with committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
