Supper

WATERFORD — There will be a public supper held on Tuesday, Aug 8 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the North Waterford Congregational Church, which is located just off Rte. 35 at 15 Irving Green Road in Waterford. On the menu are the following: baked beans, American Chop suey, Cole slaw, casseroles, salads, and strawberry shortcakes for dessert. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12.

PARIS — The First Universalist Church of Paris, at 36 Pine St., will hold a large rummage/yard sale featuring clothes, books, furniture, kitchenware, household items, tools, and much more on Saturday, August 12 from 9 to 12 a.m.  A bag sale will follow from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

PARIS — Showtime Steve, known as “The Human Variety Show,” is performing Tuesday, August 8, at the Deering Memorial Community Center, at 2 p.m.

Showtime Steve’s show features off-the-cuff physical comedy and show-stopping stunts, juggling everything from car keys to machetes, and is known for balancing ladders on his chin! He has performed across the country and beyond. His unforgettable show is for all ages and attendance is free, being offered as part of the Paris Public Library’s summer activities. The Deering Memorial Community Center is located at 39 Main Street in Paris, next to the Paris Public Library.
