I think it is about time we start electing people to the Lewiston City Council who are ready and able to meet the needs of middle class taxpayers.

Along with other senior citizen voters, we live at 46 Rosedale St. leading to Ham Street and the dead end above. These two roads have been destroyed over the years, and their lack of repair is an embarrassment to the city of Lewiston.

There are large segments of buckled pavement, cracks, and crevices due to years of neglect by the Lewiston Public Works Department.

For the past three years, we have complained to our councilman, Lee Clement, the head of public works and the mayor, and none could give us any answers as to what they plan to remedy the situation, especially after receiving millions in federal dollars to remedy this pathetic situation.

The handful of people living on Stetson enjoy a beautiful, recently paved road.

Why can’t we?
