AUBURN – Alcena “Sis” Lillian Berube, 89, of Poland, died Monday, July 24, 2023, surrounded by her children.
She was born in Boston, Mass., on Dec. 14, 1933, the daughter of Harold and Florence (Bowie) Marchant. She attended Edward Little High School with the class of 1953.
She married Dr. Marcel Berube in June 1952 and was a wonderful home maker to her six children.
With her husband she was co-chairman of the St. Louis Carnival in 1972. She and her husband also ran the Opportunity Farm from 1955-1958. She was a big St. Dom’s hockey fan.
Survivors include her four daughters, Linda Berube, Mrs. Don (Jackie) Rioux, Maureen Berube, and Mrs. Ron (Tina) Nadeau; two sons, Michael and wife Robin, and Mark Berube; her 11 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; and her niece Cheryl Joseph.
She was predeceased by her husband, parents, brother Harold Jr. and sister-in-law Jackie Laramee.
She will by sadly missed by her children and Grandchildren. We love you more, Mom!
The family invites you to a time of visitation on Friday July 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at The Fortin Group Funeral Home, 217 Turner St., AUBURN, immediately followed by The Liturgy of the Word at the funeral home and committal service at St. Peters Cemetery in Lewiston.
