I first met Carl Sheline at a monthly nature walk for members and allies of the LGBTQ community, shortly after I moved to Lewiston last fall.
We talked at length; he seemed genuinely interested to get to know me. Only later did another attendee tell me he was the mayor.
Since then, I’ve seen Carl regularly at a Maine Music Society Chorale concert, at the farmers market, at a jobs fair, at an LA Arts event — or just grabbing a coffee downtown.
To me, the frequency with which I bump into him speaks volumes about Carl’s love for his community and his desire to maintain connections with his constituents.
I’m confident that he has my needs and interests at heart, and that’s why I support Carl Sheline for mayor.
