Emily’s Run participants take off Sunday morning from Auburn Middle School in the latest installment in the Greater L-A Triple Crown 5K Series. The race memorializes Emily Fletcher, a former Edward Little High School cross-country and track runner who was 21 when killed in a 2004 car crash. The run raises money for two college scholarships in Fletcher’s name and supports the Auburn Public Library, the Auburn Nordic Ski Association, the Stanton Bird Club, New Beginnings, Tree Street Youth and the Androscoggin Land Trust.
