Auburn Police reported Sunday night that they observed a moose loitering in the park at Pleasant and Court streets. They called the Maine Warden Service to assist, but apparently impatient moose hopped a fence and escaped to a wooded area in the area of Minot Avenue.

No traffic hazards were reported.
