Maybe I’m wrong, but I’ll say it anyway … the mayor of Auburn needs to get over himself.
He thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room, every time.
If he didn’t think of it first, it can’t be the best idea.
If he and his buddy John Gendron don’t have their hand in it, then how can it be really good enough.
He brooms through every project that he has a vision for to make sure it works out, no matter how much pushback from the public and changing zoning laws to make his plans work. Whatever it takes.
But nobody asked his opinion on the Androscoggin County sheriff building, so he had the rules changed — because it can’t be a great idea without a chance for him to make friends, influence people or, perhaps, fatten his future assets.
