NORWAY — Second Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 205 Main Street, Norway is excited to announce that its Thrift Shoppe will be open, indoors and weather permitting outdoors, on Saturday, July 1, from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Thanks to generous donations from the Oxford Hills Community, the Thrift Shoppe will feature unique and common household items, dishes, glassware, books, jewelry, linens, toys, antiques and so much more. All items are clean, in good working order, and very reasonably priced. Some are new and some are gently used.
The money raised by the Thrift Shoppe will support the many missions of our community church, which include but are not limited to: the monthly free drive-thru supper, online and in-person worship services, Sunday school, Bible study, donations to local food pantries, knitting and book groups.
We are accepting items for the Thrift Shoppe in the back of the barn. All items should be clean, new, or gently used, and in working order. We are not accepting: computers, printers, baby cribs, car seats, clothes, tires, weapons, ammunition, cosmetics, drugs, or food.
As a special treat during the sale, Pam and Bruce Davison will be having a bake sale to raise money for a new church sound system. We are certain there will be Bruce’s famous molasses cookies and chocolate peanut butter cake. Don’t miss the special treats.
