LA Arts presents Art Walk LA from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 30. This free family-friendly event is open to the public.
Art Walk LA turns Lewiston’s downtown into a bustling arts district, converting outdoor plazas, sidewalks, and more than 30 businesses and storefronts into lively art galleries and performance spaces. This early evening event showcases the talent of artisans and musicians and brings people of all ages together for some summer fun. An Art Walk LA map of participating venues can be found at www.laarts.org/artwalk.
The June Art Walk LA will be anchored by an opening reception of new and recent works by Boston-based artist Michele Lauriat from 5-7 p.m. at the LA Arts Gallery in Lewiston. With a close personal connection to the Maine landscape, the exhibition will feature works inspired by the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge in Wells.
Chicks with Sticks will perform and mini lessons will be offered with Aerial Jade.
