I want to highlight my support of the library bond article (Article 24) for voting on Tuesday, June 13, in Poland.
Last year we supported a $850,000 bond blessing as a town. As we get into design and rising costs it is likely to cost $1.4 million. So $550,000 is the change.
This is our one chance to get it right for our community. It will never be cheaper if we kick the can down the road. It ties in our “park” and activities for the area, and provides access to public restrooms.
Financially, we have an expiring bond that frees over $110,000. Yes, it is more money, but with the 10-year bond the savings in interest is hundreds of thousands of real dollars.
It makes sense to do, and exceeds the $110,000 roll off for 10 years.
