BETHEL — The 2023 BikeMaine Weekend, sponsored by L.L. Bean will be held Thursday through Sunday, August 24-27 in Bethel.

The 400 or so participants will be camping on Gould Academy’s upper athletic fields and eating their meals in Gould’s dining hall.

BikeMaine is not a race. Rides are supported from 8:30-4:30. Sign up to ride or volunteer on their website: https://www.bikemaine.org/bikemaine-weekend-2023/

Bethel’s Inland Woods + Trails will offer the bicyclists off-road guided adventures on two of the days.

Registrants will sign up for a full weekend, two days, or a single day. The two-day rider registration is sold out and there is a waiting list.

The rides are looped, starting and ending at Gould Academy each day. Maps of the long road (50-60 miles) or short road (25-35 miles) routes are not available yet.

BikeMaine Event Director Colleen Donohoe, said she is still working on final approvals from Maine Department of Transportation & local authorities and will release both bike routes when they have been finalized.
