Auburn police are looking for some horses which apparently are on the loose, and causing damage to property in the West Auburn area. Shortly before 7 o’clock this morning, Sidney Hutchinson of West Auburn Road notified police that sometime during the night a horse got into his garden, and did some damage. About an hour later, a Mrs. Thorne of the West Auburn Farm informed police that some horses romped onto her lawn doing it no good. Patrolman Patrick Valentino was dispatched, but couldn’t locate the animals.
25 Years Ago: 1998
The Woman’s Hospital Association of Central Maine Medical Center will hold its annual meeting June 2 at the Martindale Country Club. The social gathering will start at 11:30 a.m. and luncheon will be at noon. The price for the meal is $12. The program will start at 1 p.m. and will be a style show with the theme of a “look back in history, fashions of yesteryear to today.”
