LEWISTON — Two motorists were transported Monday evening to the hospital after a three-car collision at the intersection of Russell and Sabattus streets, police said.
Courtney Flaherty, 32, was operating her 2015 GMC Acadia on Sabattus Street when she collided with a 2017 Hyundai Sonata driven by Djenny Tshipi, 25. Flaherty also struck a stopped vehicle, a 2022 Hyundai Palisade driven by Brittany Meserve, 35.
Lewiston Police Department spokesman Lt. Derrick St. Laurent said Tshipi was trying to cross Russell Street on a green light when Flaherty struck her. The two were transported to Central Maine Medical Center for minor injuries and observation.
St. Laurent said there were no other injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
