POLAND — Residents of Regional School Unit 16 will have a chance Tuesday, May 23, to weigh in on the proposed spending plan for the upcoming fiscal year.

Officials said the district budget meeting offers people in Poland, Minot and Mechanic Falls an opportunity to see how the budget process was completed and to get any budget questions answered so they can cast informed votes on the $27.6 million draft budget.

The session is slated for 6:30 p.m. in the Poland Regional High School auditorium.

A vote to validate the budget is slated for June 13. Polls will be open in each member town.
