“Music for Mavis” Tuesdays at the Gazebo music series brings Hurry Down Sunshine from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, at the gazebo in Turner.
The band features Brian Kavanah’s rhythmic guitar and expressive voice which blends with Stan Davis’ virtuosic lead guitar to create a soulful stew of music. “We play a wide range of American music from Jazz standards to Tom Waits to Bob Dylan to the blues and more.”
For more information about the band, visit Davis’ YouTube channel or contact Stan Davis at 207-685-9639 or stanleyfdavis@gmail.com.
The show will go on rain or shine. Bring a chair, a blanket, and a friend. We pass the hat to pay the musicians. Suggested donation $10. For more information, call 207-754-0954 or 207-240-4591 or visit the Music for Mavis page on Facebook. The gazebo is located off Rt. 117 near the Turner Public Library at 98 Mathews Way, Turner.
