DEAR SUN SPOTS: Lisbon United Methodist Church will be holding its annual Plant and Bake Sale on May 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. New this year will be take-out chicken barbecue. The proceeds from the sale will be used towards the operating budget for the church, including assisting with our missions and ministries within the community and the world.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Rumford Hospital Auxiliary will be holding its annual Yard and Tent Sale on Saturday, May 20. Donations such as indoor and outdoor furniture, household items, tools, books and puzzles are always in demand. We are unable to take large appliances or clothing.

All proceeds are donated to Rumford Hospital. Members of the auxiliary will be at 209 Lincoln Ave. in Rumford each Friday morning through May to accept donations. This is a great time to clean out storage spaces and help support our worthy cause.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Members of the Heywood Club want to remind everyone that the “Annual Seven Mile Yard Sale” will be held on Saturday, June 10, on Crockett Ridge in Norway. We will be accepting donations after May 13. All donations will be appreciated, but we cannot accept large furniture and appliances, electronics, books, magazines and clothes.

This sale not only helps the club, but all our neighbors who join in on that day and have their own sales. I’m told that there have been some good finds hiding in those sales, so please come join in the fun and find that one good bargain you have been looking for. DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Sumner Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will be holding its annual Yard, Bake and Plant Sale on Saturday, June 3, at the Sumner Fire Station on Route 219 in Sumner. The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Besides yard sale items, there will be homemade bake goods for sale, plants and raffle baskets. All proceeds will benefit the fire department.
