NORWAY — The renowned pop-rock blues band Beyond Reason will perform at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, in the Concert Hall of the First Universalist Church of Norway, at 479 Main Street. Admission will be $10. Tickets are available at the door or at The Tribune, 430 Main Street, Norway.
Beyond Reason’s shows encompass a broad range of pop, rock and blues – including original compositions from Beyond Reason’s five studio albums and classics from golden eras of rock and roll. Strong harmonies, textured melodies, and a tight rhythm section fuel the group’s dynamic live performances. Beyond Reason was formed in 1992 by guitarist Greg Kidd and lead vocalist Steve Leighton. Along with Kidd and Leighton, the southern Maine-based band’s lineup features Steve Mead on bass & vocals, Tom Coolidge on keyboards & vocals, and Bruce Wescott on drums & vocals.
Beyond Reason has opened for such influential artists as Lowen & Navarro and Savoy Brown. The band has performed at many fundraisers to
benefit deserving organizations. These include the Maine Breast Cancer Coalition, the Peabody House, and the Ryan White Foundation. Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the First Universalist Church and aid in the maintenance of its historic 200-year-old building.
