LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce has named four individuals, one business and a business development center to receive its 2023 Annual Awards.
The recipients are recognized for their contributions and dedication to the region, making Androscoggin County a better place to live, work, play and do business.
The awards and recipients are:
• Ray Geiger Chamber Champion: Cyndi Robbins of Cyndi’s Dockside and Poland Spring Resort, Poland.
• Ken Additon Economic Development Champion: Lost Valley Ski Area, Auburn.
• Theresa Samson Women’s Business Leadership: Michelle Gosselin-Ervin of Hearth & Key Realty, Auburn.
• Leading Through Change: Allison Beane of Hampton Inn by Hilton, Lewiston.
• Heart of the Community: Abby Guilmette of Edward Little High School.
• President’s Award: Small Business Development Center at Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments, Auburn.
“We are excited to share this year’s awardees with the public,” chamber President and CEO Shanna Cox said. “Each awardee is deserving of recognition in their own right. Taken together they reflect the duality of our mission for a robust economy and fantastic quality of life. They showcase the full pipeline of a thriving economy, from entrepreneurs and starting businesses to seasoned professionals leading businesses positioned to pay it forward and give back.”
The recognition ceremony will be held from 3 to 6:30 p.m. June 15 at Poland Spring Resort, 640 Maine St., Poland, with support from Oxford Casino. Guests will join the garden-party-themed event under the large signature white tent.
