DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Trinity Jubilee Resource Center at 247 Bates St. in Lewiston is out of sleeping bags and would love donations.  We don’t have space for more blankets now but we really need clean, adult-size sleeping bags. They can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 to 10 a.m. and from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

We could also use snack items and disposable diapers for our pantry. You’ll find our Wish List on Amazon here: https://a.co/7FjPly2 and on Walmart here: https://bit.ly/36OhDM3 .

Volunteers are also needed. Our Soup Kitchen has shifts for dishwashing, food prep, mopping floors and picking up food donations. It’s not glamorous work, but it gets our neighbors the food they need. It’s helpful if a volunteer can commit to doing the same shift every week. We just don’t have the workforce to train new volunteers on every shift. Find our volunteer application here:  https://www.trinityjubileecenter.org/volunteer-application/ or go to the website at https://www.trinityjubileecenter.org/volunteer/ to learn more. — No name, no town

ANSWER: There’s a lot of work to be done at the center and many tasks to assist with. If you have special skills you can share or are interested in other options for volunteering please get in touch with them.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Members of the Heywood Club remind everyone that the Annual Seven Mile Yard Sale will be held Saturday, June 10, on Crockett Ridge in Norway. We will be accepting donations after May 13. All donations will be appreciated, but we cannot accept large furniture and appliances, electronics, books, magazines and clothes.

This sale not only helps the club, but all our neighbors who join in on that day and have their own sales. I’m told there have been some good finds hiding in those sales so please come join in the fun and find that one good bargain you have been looking for. If you have any further questions call me, Barbara, at 890-2103 or Beth at 461-2334.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Lights of Love Christmas tree fundraiser. It was another success to held our maintenance fund.

We also send a special thank you to Smedberg’s Farm in Oxford for donating the beautiful tree. —Barbara, no town
