OXFORD — On March 7, the Oxford Police Department was called to the Oxford Casino/Hotel for a reported drug deal being conducted inside, according to Chief Rickie Jack.
Upon arrival, Officers removed three males from a hotel room and observed drug paraphernalia inside. Two of the males admitted to using cocaine throughout the night, and based upon the totality of the circumstances, Curtis Fogg and Brendan Durant, were placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking in Schedule “W” Drugs (Class B).
Later that day, according to Jack, Officers obtained a search warrant for the room where in the following was located and seized:
• Felony amounts of Fentanyl
• Felony amounts of Cocaine Base
• .22 Magnum Revolver
• $6300 in suspected drug proceeds
• Drug paraphernalia used in the manufacturing of cocaine base
Upon the completion of this warrant Fogg and Durant were each charged with aggravated trafficking in fentanyl (Class A), aggravated trafficking in cocaine (Class A), possession of a firearm as a prohibited person, criminal forfeiture (Civil).
They are currently being held at the Oxford County Jail on $10,000 bail.
