Keenan Ovrebo-Welker of Lisbon Falls, a senior at Lisbon High School, has been selected to receive the 2023 Principal’s Award.
The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic excellence, outstanding school citizenship and leadership.
“Throughout his years at Lisbon High School, Keenan has represented himself, the community and our school in a positive light. He has distinguished himself in the classroom academically by challenging himself and excelling in Advanced Placement level courses, and also as an extraordinary leader, mentor and role model in various clubs and activities,” Principal Susan Magee announced in a news release.
“He is motivated in both school and the community to be the best version of himself,” Magee added. “Keenan is truly deserving of this recognition and we congratulate him on his success while at Lisbon High School. We could not be more proud of him and his accomplishments.”
Ovrebo-Welker, Principal Magee and other award winners and their principals are invited to participate in the Principal’s Award Honors Luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1. Ten $1,000 scholarships will be drawn at this time.
The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.
