Rebecca Grube will perform Celtic fiddle music at the Oasis of Music beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, at its temporary location at the LA Arts Gallery in Lewiston. She will be accompanied by Greg Boardman on guitar.

Grube will play a selection of tunes from Ireland, Scotland and Quebec. Boardman will join her for a few tunes. Grube is a native of Lewiston who spent several years living in Ireland getting a master’s degree and then teaching traditional music. She is currently teaching private lessons on violin and cello at Main Street Music lessons in Auburn.

The Oasis of Music is a weekly music series of performances of roughly thirty minutes, running from September to May. Admission is free, with donations accepted. The musical genres vary greatly, in largely, but not exclusively, acoustic formats. COVID restrictions of optional mask-wearing and social distancing are observed.
