Women of Soul! played by Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations is set for 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at Somerset Abbey, 98 Main St. in Madison.

The latest concert offering from the band, featuring Julie Ouellette and Laura Hudson, is a tribute to the female giants of Soul Music. Women of Soul is 90 minutes featuring the best of Soul Superstars Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Tina Turner, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Etta James, Martha and The Vandellas, and Dusty Springfield. The band even take a deep dive into the musical genius of lesser known, but brilliant artists like Ann Peebles, Mavis Staples, and Fontella Bass.
The band is made up of Colwell on guitar and vocals, Ouellette on vocals and percussion, Hudson on vocals and percussion, Robin Worthley on keyboards, Dave Thibodeau on bass and vocals, Ronnie Bouffard on drums and vocals, Carlos Hayes Jr. on tenor saxophone, Will Martin on baritone saxophone, tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, and Blake Peachey on trumpet.

Tickets cost $20 per person.
