LEWISTON — Dr. Paul Vinsel of Tri-County Mental Health Services is board certified in addiction medicine by the American Osteopathic Association.
Vinsel graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his emergency medicine residency at Darnall Army Community Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas, and has practiced emergency medicine for 36 years with the U.S. Army and across New England.
He is also certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Vinsel joined Tri-County Mental Health Services in September 2021 as part of the agency’s Opioid Health Home program. Since then, he has expanded his service delivery to include providing medication for opioid use disorder to inmates at the Androscoggin County Jail, and also serves as Tri-County Mental Health Services faculty for a Rural Behavioral Workforce Development Center grant.
“We are blessed to have Dr. Vinsel on our team,” Catherine Ryder, Tri-County Mental Health Services chief executive officer, said. “His passion for this work is unparalleled, and his skill will help to ensure that those struggling with substance misuse have the best opportunity to achieve their recovery goals.”
