DURHAM – Jonica A. Winn, 61, passed away peacefully on Feb. 14, 2023 after a brief illness with her family by her side.
She was born to John and Phyllis (Ridley) Winn on Oct. 25, 1961. She attended Harpswell Island School as well as Mt. Ararat School. She joined the workforce at L.L. Bean in 1992. After filling various positions at the company she received the prestigious Bean’s Best Award in 2003. It was there she met her husband, David whom she was with for 23 years and married to in 2018. She retired from L.L. Bean in 2018 to spend more time with her family and her puppy dogs.
Jonica prided herself on being the best mother and grandmother she could be. Her grandson, Ivan, was her greatest joy in life and she spent as much time with him as possible playing games and snuggling him. She also looked forward to going shopping and dinner with her sisters. Anyone who met Jonica couldn’t help but love her. She had an amazing, caring heart and would do anything for anyone. She will be missed by so many.

Winn Jr. and his companion, Allison Miller of Durham; her four sisters, Tamie Griffin and her husband Tom of Durham, Margaret Ames and her husband Ken of Brunswick, Carol Winn of Bath, Valerie Pilsbury and her husband Eric of North Yarmouth; and many nieces and nephews.
