RUMFORD — Rumford Hospital, a part of Central Maine Healthcare, has earned a 2022 performance leadership award from the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX. The index is considered the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance in the United States.

The leadership award recognizes the performance of the top 25% of rural hospitals in the country quality, outcomes and patient perspective.

Rumford Hospital received the award for patient perspective.

“There is nothing more important to all of our team members here at Rumford Hospital than providing the highest quality of care to our patients,” Stephany Jacques, vice president of nursing and patient services, said.
