MEXICO — The Oxford Federal Credit Union board of directors recently announced that Joann Bisson will succeed Matt Kaubris as the next president and chief executive officer.
The board has been preparing for the retirement of longtime president and Chief Executive Officer Kaubris since he announced his intention to retire. The executive vice president role that Bisson has held for the past year was created as part of a succession plan to prepare the organization for new leadership.
Bisson joined Oxford Federal Credit Union in January 2022, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and eight years serving as chief executive officer at her former credit union. “Joann has embraced the culture and fully supports our mission to support financial wellness in our communities,” board Chairman David LeClerc said.
Bisson transitioned to her new role on Feb. 1, and Kaubris will provide support and guidance in an advisory capacity through his retirement date. “This year we will celebrate 85 years as stewards of our members’ trust and finances, and we’ll continue to focus on service and soundness for many more,” Bisson said.
