FARMINGTON — The Cosmic Craft will be hosting a Couples Circle/Ceremony & Healing Space at End of the Rainbow Health Alternatives at 249 Farmington Falls Road in Farmington on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The event promises to be a space where couples can “deeply explore each other in a spiritual way that you may not have thought possible, with zero sexual intention,” according to the event page on Facebook.

The cost for entry will be $44 and due to it being a facilitated healing event, no children will be allowed.

“This is a space that we, my husband Jon and I, created to bring some bonding and deep healing to partners,” Jacqueline Morton, owner and operator of The Cosmic Craft, stated in an email. “This is not a therapy space, but it can be therapeutic. We facilitate different workshops for partners to work through together, such as eye-gazing, uninterrupted speech [each partner takes a turn expressing themselves for a certain amount of time and the other partner listens but doesn’t respond], meditation, and gentle breath-work. Also, we will be offering a cacao ceremony to start with.”

The beginning of the ceremony with a sacred plant medicine cacao ceremony, wherein cacao will be offered to couples to “release emotional blockages, find forgiveness in ourselves and others, and shows us the way forward if we are stuck, or afraid of making necessary life changes.”

Those with health issues who cannot consume cacao in its purest form are encouraged by Morton to leave a note so that they replace their cacao with a viable alternative.

The Cosmic Craft started as a candle and crystal shop in Rangeley in 2021. Before the storefront, however, Morton found herself getting requests from friends for items that she had originally made for herself.

“I had a few friends asking for candles that I was making for myself,” Morton stated. “They were all natural organic candles poured into adorable little teacups and topped with real dried flowers and crystals. I kept having referrals, so I decided to start an Etsy, and that turned into a storefront.”

Unfortunately, the space Morton was operating in was sold and she was forced to move but kept her business intact through Etsy. On top of her business, Morton hosts regular events specifically geared towards women.

“We work through certain workshops that coincide with our theme [Aspects of The Divine Feminine], so breathwork, meditation, dance, and have a safe space to be vulnerable and raw,” Morton stated. “Being able to express ourselves fully without judgement. It’s really beautiful. I see a lot of healing tears fall and get to hear genuine laughter.”

To facilitate these circles, Morton went through an intensive 12-week training course to get certified in transformational facilitation through circle.

These monthly circles are open to any women over the age of 18 and according to Morton, new members join every week, creating a deep network of women whose main goal is to develop spiritual growth and sisterly bonds.

“Everyone really starts as strangers, and we become sisters,” she said.
