The Thomas E. Lahey Foundation recently awarded scholarships to eight outstanding scholar-athletes and recent graduates of Lewiston High School, Edward Little High School and St. Dominic Academy.
This year’s scholarship recipients:
Emma Roy is a graduate of St. Dominic Academy, attending Dominican University of California and the daughter of Peter and Nancy Roy of Lewiston.
Noah Cyr, a graduate of St. Dominic Academy, is attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute and the son of Scott and Jennifer Cyr of Minot.
Leah Landry, a graduate of Lewiston High School, is attending Syracuse University and the daughter of Amy and Brian Landry of Lewiston.
Lily Gish, a graduate of Lewiston High School, is attending the Emmanuel College and the daughter of Cindy and Dan Gish of Lewiston.
Kristen Lachance, a graduate of Lewiston High School, is attending the University of Massachusetts and the daughter of Jen and Mike Lachance of Lewiston.
Megan Lachance, a graduate of Edward Little High School, is attending the University of Franklin Pierce University and the daughter of Tammy and Steve Lachance of Minot.
Wesley Scott Clements, a graduate of Edward Little High School, is attending the University of Maine and the son of Mike and Michelle Clements of Auburn.
John Shea, a graduate of Edward Little High School, is attending the University of Maine and the son of Christopher and Bridget Shea of Auburn.
The foundation’s mission is to assist local youth in their pursuit of further education. Since its inception in 1987, the foundation has each year awarded scholarships to graduates of local high schools. The main fundraising efforts have included private donations, a golf tournament and a bowling tournament.
