FARMINGTON — Zach Poisson scored a game-high 24 points for Mt. Blue in a 73-51 win over Gardiner in KVAC boys basketball action Friday.
Evans Sterling slipped in 14 points in the victory for the Cougars (8-4) and Chandler Briggs had 12 points.
Colby Moody led the Tigers (1-13) with 11 points and Cody Dingwell pitched in with eight.
WINDHAM 53, EDWARD LITTLE 50: James Tyrie and Adrian Moody each put in 12 points, and the Eagles (4-8) used a 13-6 edge in the fourth quarter to beat the Red Eddies (3-9) in Windham.
Blake McPherson added 11 points.
Edward Little’s Landon Cougle led all scorers with 22 points. Marshal Adams had 15.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
UMF 82, HUSSON 76: Terion Moss tossed in 24 points for the Beavers (10-7, 6-1 NAC) in a close victory over the Eagles (7-10, 5-1 NAC) in Farmington.
Jack Kane dropped in 22 points and Kyle Donlin added 14 for UMaine-Farmington.
Jeremy Moronta led Husson with 18 points while Justice Kendall chipped in with 17 and Scott Lewis 15. Eric Ahlers tallied 11 points in the loss.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
UMF 87, HUSSON 51: Bailey Donovan scored a game-high 19 points for the Eagles (12-5, 6-0 NAC) in the win against the Beavers (2-14, 1-6 NAC) in Farmington.
Hannah Richards chipped in 10 points for Husson.
Maddy White paced University of Maine at Farmington with 16 points and Grace Dwyer added 12.
