Caroline Coffin opens a demonstration class Jan. 12 with the help of her daughter, Laura, 5, for Androscoggin Music Together at the United Methodist Church at 439 Park Ave. in Auburn, as Kari Ellis and her son, Ethan, 3, listen at left. Coffin says children from newborn to 5 years old can already sing in tune and keep a steady beat. The class covers 24 songs with a variety of tonalities and rhythms. “It’s a musical buffet,” Coffin says.
