In slang terms, a washout is someone or something that proves an utter failure. Since when did being a washout become something to espouse to in America?

The aimlessness and desperation that drives people is rampant and getting worse by the day. Our nation is in desperate straits when we are collectively throwing our hands up in the air and just giving up.

This nation was built on hard work and concerted efforts to improve our own standing that we have become accustomed to.

Lately, though, the washouts seem to be making the loudest noise, and it’s quite deafening in the sound it makes.

We must not reward anyone who espouses to be a washout.

This country is all about opportunity and ways to improve the human condition. People who choose another path might just as well go to the end of the line to be served, because that is exactly the place reserved for washouts.
