I write in rebuttal to Clem Bechard (“Energy malarkey reigns while prices needlessly soar,” Dec. 8). President Biden increased the amount of leases on federal lands in his first year to 3,557, from 2,658 in President Trump’s last year, (Taylor McKinnon, Center for Biological Diversity, Jan. 21).
Voisine also changed his mind and is urging more oil and natural gas production due to steep price increases. Malarkey indeed.
I also say to Mark Wood (“Article on prehistoric feasts didn’t serve up real news,” Dec. 7), opinions are not scientific facts. Has he heard of gap theory? I believe he used the term “fake news.” I guess anything he refutes is fake news.
Jesus said “the truth will set you free.” Then again, that’s my opinion.
Please don’t disregard scientific facts. The oldest drawing ever found is over 70,000 years old.
