REGION — Oxford County residents have until November 30 to enter the contest, and prizes will be awarded at the #MaineReunited Community Art Event on December 14.

#MaineReunited, a Maine-based art contest, is seeking submissions from Oxford County artists and creatives on themes of healthy and caring communities. The competition is open to artists and creative folks of all ages. Run by Lights Out Gallery and Design of Norway, Maine, #MaineReunited Oxford County will award $1000 prizes to three winners: an Adult Award, a Youth Award, and a People’s Choice Award. The original deadline of November 25 has been extended until November 30, 2022 to allow people more time to submit. Executive Director Daniel Sipe said that he hoped extending the deadline would encourage more people to enter.

For anyone interested in entering, a full list of contest guidelines can be found on the #MaineReunited website: https://www.lightsoutart.com/mainereunited.

Lights Out is partnering with Healthy Oxford Hills and Community Pharmacies to host a #MaineReunited Community Art Event and Vaccine Clinic to celebrate all participants and award prizes. Contest submissions will be on display, prizes will be awarded, there will be a community art project, and a vaccine and flu shot clinic will also be onsite for anyone who needs it.
