The isku-Filan girls, a student-led group of Maine Community Integration, organized the second annual feast to feed vulnerable members of the community. In addition to food, they handed out hats, gloves, sleeping bags and hand warmers. Abdi Abdalla said Fowsia Musse, executive director of Maine Community Integration, contacted him Thursday morning from her hospital bed to make sure the Thanksgiving meal was happening. Musse was badly hurt during a shooting in Ethiopia and recently returned home to Lewiston. “I will be in touch with her this afternoon to let her know how it went,” Abdalla said.
